Please join us in welcoming Susan R. Wessler to the PAG Organizing Committee.

Dr. Wesler is a Distinguished Professor of Genetics at the University of California, Riverside (UCR) and member of the National Academy of Sciences. Her major focus is Transposable elements(TEs) in plants with a focus on the characterization of active transposable elements and a determination of how they contribute to genome evolution and adaptation.

Accepted poster abstracts will be presented at the poster session at the conference in the Exhibit Hall and will also be included in the Final Program, Abstract and Exhibit Guide.

A  total of 1,681 abstracts were submitted this year!

We are postponing poster abstract submissions & extending early bird registration until Nov. 9 to give those hit by Sandy a little extra time. (Travel Grant Deadlines will remain Nov.1.)

The Ion Bus stopped by at the Plant and Animal Genome (PAG) Conference to do some sequencing in the parking lot, eat some BBQ chicken and talk science.
