All PAG attendees and exhibitors with paid registration are invited to submit poster abstracts. A poster abstract is a visual presentation where materials in addition to the abstract — such as genetic maps, physical maps, photographs, graphs, and/or tables — are presented on a display board along with textual summaries of the material. Over 1,100 poster abstracts will be presented at PAG, and for attendees this is a very valuable aspect of the conference.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Abstract Coordinators. Accepted abstracts will be presented at the conference in the Exhibit Hall and will also be included in the Final Program, Abstract and Exhibit Guide. After the conference, the abstract will also be available online in the searchable archives.
The Poster Abstract Submissions Deadline is October 28, 2016. extended until November 14
The Poster Abstract Submissions Editing Deadline is November 28, 2016.
All abstract authors must be registered for the conference prior to submitting an abstract. A link for poster abstract submission is available at the top right of this page.
Please be advised that all accepted abstracts are considered public information and by submitting an abstract you agree to license PAG and Scherago International to post the abstract on the conference web site.
Once the official Poster Abstract Submission deadline has passed, we will offer a link for Late Poster Abstact Submission. Posters submitted late will be assigned a poster number for displaying on-site in exhibit hall, and will be included online and in the mobile app. They will not be included in the printed Final Program, Abstract & Exhibit Guide. Late posters will be accepted up until the beginning of the conference.
The poster presentation space available is 3ft wide x 4ft high, or 36in w x 48 in h (0.92m wide x 1.22m high). Dimensions are for a vertical poster. It is important to note that there is an approximately 1 inch metal rim on the border, which reduces the poster board VISIBLE space to 2 feet 10 inches wide by 3 feet 10 inches high. (1.17 meters x .86 meters).
Also note, posters are displayed directly next to each other, so there is no room on the horizontal sides for overflow. Should you require more vertical space, however, posters greater than 46in. in height can hang a few inches beyond the edge of the presentation board.
PAG partners with PosterPresentations.com to provide additional and convenient options for poster printing and delivery. Posters can be uploaded to the PosterPresentations.com website (pdf format preferred) and printed, and attendees with have the option of FREE shipping to the conference for pickup. Posters must be no larger than 34 inches wide by 46 inches tall (0.86 meters by 1.17 meters) and prepared in portrait orientation. They will be printed on premium quality 10mil photographic paper at 600 dpi resolution.
