All PAG XX participants are invited to submit abstracts for the Poster Session. A Poster Session is a presentation where materials in addition to the abstract—such as genetic maps, physical maps, photographs, graphs, and/or tables— are presented on a display board along with textual summaries of the material. Over 900 poster abstracts will be presented at PAG XX, and for attendees this is a very valuable aspect of the conference.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Abstract Coordinators. Accepted abstracts will be presented at the Poster Session at the conference in the Exhibit Hall and will also be included in the Final Program, Abstract and Exhibit Guide. After the conference, the abstract will also be available online in the searchable archives.
Submission deadline is November 14, 2011.
All abstract authors must be registered for the conference prior to submitting an abstract.
All abstracts will be reviewed by the Abstract Coordinators. Abstracts will be reviewed within 2-3 weeks after the submission deadline. You should consider your abstract accepted, unless otherwise notified by November 30, 2011.
Please be advised that all accepted abstracts are considered public information and by submitting an abstract you agree to license PAG and Scherago International to post the abstract on the conference web site.

The poster presentation space available is 3ft wide x 4ft high, or 36in w x 48 in h (0.92m wide x 1.22m high). Dimensions are for a vertical poster. It is important to note that there is an approximately 1 inch metal rim on the border, which reduces the poster board VISIBLE space to 2 feet 10 inches wide by 3 feet 10 inches high. (1.17 meters x 86 meters).
Also note, posters are displayed directly next to each other, so there is no room on the horizontal sides for overflow. Should you require more vertical space, however, posters greater than 46in. in height can hang a few inches beyond the edge of the presentation board.
All posters will remain up for the entire length of the meeting.
Ideally, each poster will be self-explanatory, but we have two sessions where presenting autors are expected to be available near their poster in the Exhibit Hall to answer questions and engage discussions. Poster numbers will be printed in the Final Program, Abstract & Exhibit Guide.
