If you have been invited to be a Workshop Speaker, you will receive an email with instructions regarding submission of your workshop abstract. This email will include your official workshop ID#, workshop title, and a personalized link to submit and edit your abstract. Although all invited workshop speakers are expected to submit an abstract of their talk they are not required to submit a poster abstract, but are welcome to do so. You will be given the option to also submit a poster abstract, during the submission process.
Please note that you are required to register for the meeting, PRIOR to submitting your abstract. Your email with the workshop ID# and link also serve as confirmation that you have been entered into our database and eligible for the workshop speaker discount — which is $100 discount off the full conference registration fee. (The discount applies only to full conference registration fees. The weekend and students rates are not discounted.)
Live demonstrations of genomics databases or software can be presented in the Computer Demos sessions, held in the California Room of the Town and Country Hotel. Approximately 20 minutes will be allowed for each presentation during the following sessions:
The method to submit your Computer Demo is similar to that of Poster Abstracts and the link is below:
Submission deadline for Computer Demos is November 14, 2011.
Once your demo is approved and accepted, you will receive an email regarding your time slot from

As you may have noticed we are debuting both a new website and a new abstact submission process this year, both of which will provide for better searching and listing of abstracts, posters, demos and workshops. We ask that you are patient while we work out any issues that may arise.
Any questions/issues regarding the abstract submission process should be directed to:
